EDII gets 4-Star rating by GSIRF

The first Gujarat State Institutional Ranking Framework (GSIRF) on the lines of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has ranked EDII as the second best institute of Gujarat.

EDII was rated a 4-star institute by the executive committee of the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat, Department of Education, Government of Gujarat on the recommendation of the appointed agency, the Indian Care for Academic Rankings and Excellence (ICARE).

A total of 20 universities and 46 non-technical institutes participated in the rating exercise. EDII was awarded a CGPA of 3.66 out of 5 on the basis of comprehensive performance matrix as set out by the GSIRF. Rating was done on the parameters of – Teaching & Learning Resources, Research & Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes and Outreach & Inclusivity.

Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP)

EDII has been awarded with the prestigious Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) Award for Local Economic Development for its Startup Village Entrepreneurship Project (SVEP). The Citation reads that the Merit Award is given to EDII in recognition of its efforts under SVEP to reduce poverty and unemployment in villages by helping initiate and support rural enterprises. Present on the occasion on behalf of EDII were ( extreme L) Director, Dr. Sunil Shukla; (extreme R) Governing Board Member and Former Chairman & Managing Director, Dr. Sailendra Narain and Advisor –Business Development Cell, Mr. Nikhilesh Desai. The award was presented by Mr. Shivjee Roy Yadav, Chairman, ADFIAP.

Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director-EDII expressed his views on the correlation between entrepreneurship and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) at the Plenary Session on MSME and Entrepreneurship at the 41st Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) Annual Meet at New Delhi. Dr. Shukla held that DFIs must collaborate with specialized entrepreneurship development institutes only for conducting EDPs and these institutes must exercise assiduousness in involving DFIs in imparting inputs at every stage of the programme.

EDII among top 50 Management Schools of the country

EDII has been ranked among the top 50 management institutions as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework announced by Ministry for Human Resource and Development (MHRD). A total of 3500 institutions had applied under various categories. EDII has been ranked 45th under the category of Management Institutions wherein 609 institutions had applied.

EDII among first Top 25 Entrepreneurship Schools in India

A Bangalore-based publication house, Aspire Media, publishes a monthly magazine, Small Enterprise – The Magazine for Entrepreneurs of India. The magazine carried out a survey, at the national level to identify top 25 institutions offering specialised courses for budding entrepreneurs to make it easier for them in their quest for creating new innovative companies and products. The Magazine, in their January 2016 issue, recognized EDII’s courses as one of the top entrepreneurship courses to facilitate entrepreneurs in setting up innovative enterprises.

EDII, the only institute from the Central Region in 'AICTE-CII Best Industry Linked Technical Institute in India 2013'

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) jointly conducted a survey of Industry Linked Technical Institutes (2013) to determine industry – academia alignment on various parameters under the disciplines of Engineering, Management, Architecture and Pharmacy. EDII featured as the only established management institute from the Central Region, as the ‘AICTE-CII Best Industry linked Technical Institute in India 2013 survey report.’

EDII wins International Mercury Award 2016-17

EDII’s Annual Report for the year 2015-16 won the prestigious Mercury 2016-2017 Award for its overall presentation. Instituted every year by MerComm Inc, the world’s only independent awards organisation, the International Mercury Awards honour outstanding achievement in professional communications in around 80 countries. Founded in 1987, the Mercury Award is in its 30th year and promotes excellence, quality and performance in the various fields of public relations.

EDII bags IFC – Times Network Strategy Award 2017

The institute bagged the prestigious IFC – Times Network Strategy Award 2017 for its role in shaping the industry, creating unique positioning and altering the basis of competition for Education, Training & Educational Services during Porter Prize event at Mumbai on May 25. The award is instituted by the Institute for Competitiveness (IFC) in conjunction with the Times Network and recognises the strategic acumen of corporates in India.

EDII bags the Excellent Institute for Entrepreneurship Development in India Award during the 11th National Education Summit 2017

The Institute was recognised for excellence in the field of entrepreneurship during the coveted 11th National Education Summit & Award 2017. The institute was conferred with the prestigious award – Excellent Institute for Entrepreneurship Development in India. The National Education Summit is organised by CMAI Association of India. The Award Jury included global leaders in the education and ICT sectors.
